Honey Bee Equipment For Sale

When you are buying used beekeeping equipment, like buying used anything else, can be a somewhat scary experience.   Supplies used when keeping bees for honey are not generally found at your local GoodWill, Salvation Army, or Garage Sale.  So to find good deals you need to go online, and buy your items without ever touching them… it can be challenging.

But if you follow these guidelines you should be able to get exactly what you need without getting scammed.

#1.  Stick to the big players in the market.

You can always go to online classified ads and find used beekeeping equipment, but then you have no way of knowing if the seller you are dealing with has a good reputation and will follow through on their products.

If you stick to an auction site like ebay, you can get great deals and also know that the person you are buying your equipment from has a good reputation online and wants to keep it that way.

#2.  Look at the pictures.

When buying used equipment, you want to read everything thouroughly.  Look at the pictures of what is being sold and read the description to determine if it is what you really want.

#3.  Do your research first.

Before you start buying your beekeeping supplies make sure that you do your research.  Determine what size of operation you want to run, and what type of equipment you need, then make a list, and be sure to follow it.  When you are prepared and know what you need,  you will make smart purchasing decisions.
